Kit Ross Limited is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. We believe that everyone has the right to access digital content, services, and information without barriers.

We strive to meet and exceed the requirements set out in applicable accessibility legislation and internationally recognised best practices, including WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the European Accessibility Act (EAA) / EU Directive 2019/882, EN 301 549 (the EU harmonised standard for digital accessibility), the Irish Disability Act 2005, the UK Equality Act 2010, the Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations 2018, and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

1. Conformance Status and Applicable Laws

We aim to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. This website is currently partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Known non-conformances and planned remediation are listed in Section 3 of this statement.

This statement is prepared in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA; EN 301 549 (the European harmonised standard for ICT accessibility); the European Accessibility Act (EAA) / EU Directive 2019/882; the Irish Disability Act 2005; the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), 42 U.S.C. § 12101 et seq.; Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (29 U.S.C. § 794d); the UK Equality Act 2010; the Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations 2018 (UK SI 2018/952); and the EU Web Accessibility Directive 2016/2102.

2. Accessibility Features

Where possible, we have implemented the following accessibility features:

  • Images include descriptive alternative (alt) text.

  • The website can be navigated using a keyboard alone.

  • We maintain a minimum colour contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text.

  • Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content.

  • The website is compatible with leading screen readers including JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver.

  • Visible focus indicators are present for keyboard users.

  • We avoid content that flashes more than three times per second.

  • Link text is descriptive and meaningful out of context.

  • Navigation and layout are consistent throughout.

  • All form fields have clearly associated visible labels.

  • Forms identify and describe errors clearly.

  • A skip-to-main-content link is provided.

  • The primary language of each page is declared in the HTML.

  • Headings and semantic HTML are used to convey structure and meaning.

3. Known Limitations and Non-Accessible Content

Despite our best efforts, we are aware of some known limitations on this website. We are actively working to resolve these. Known issues include:

  • Some older PDF documents may not be fully accessible (WCAG 1.1.1 — planned resolution: Q3 2026).

  • Some video content may not include full captions (WCAG 1.2.2 — planned resolution: Q3 2026).

  • Some third-party embedded content may not fully conform (WCAG 4.1.2 — subject to third-party resolution).

 

We are committed to being transparent about non-conformances and will update this statement as issues are identified and resolved.
